Injection Moulding Machine Manufacturer — Andheri East, Mumbai, India

Injection-moulded engineering components

Injection Moulding Machines for Engineering Plastic Components

Pratishna Engineers manufactures injection moulding machines extensively used in manufacturing engineering plastic components for machinery, conveyors, pneumatics and industrial equipment. Typical parts include gears, bushings, rollers, bearing cages, brackets, pulleys, drag chain links, impellers and valve bodies, which replace metal parts and must hold functional tolerances on pitch, bore and fit.

Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for engineering plastic components in India. With 35+ years of experience from its Mumbai facility, the company has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering horizontal and hybrid machines for gears, motion parts, conveyor parts and fluid-handling components, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.

The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Engineering parts are mostly moulded in POM, PA66, PA46, PBT and glass-filled grades, each with different shrinkage along and across the flow. Gears, bearings and cams need the mould compensated for that shrinkage and a machine that repeats shot weight, pressure and temperature closely enough to keep every part within tolerance.

Engineering Plastic Components

A range of motion, conveyor, structural and fluid-handling components can be manufactured on Pratishna injection moulding machines:

  • Plastic Gear (spur, helical, worm wheel)

  • Bushing (sleeve and flanged plain bushing)

  • Roller (conveyor, guide and idler roller bodies)

  • Plastic Bearing (cages, races and mounted bearing housings)

  • Plastic Bracket (structural mounting bracket)

  • Industrial Fitting (push-in pneumatic fitting, quick coupler, hose fitting body)

  • Precision Mechanical Part (cams, levers, sliders, spacers, small housings)

  • Sprocket, Pulley and Timing Pulley

  • Chain and Conveyor Component (modular belt links, chain guides, flights)

  • Cable Drag Chain Link

  • Impeller, Fan Blade and Pump Rotor

  • Castor Wheel and Roller Wheel

  • Knob, Handwheel, Lever and Handle

  • Snap-fit Fastener, Clip and Spacer

  • Valve Body and Manifold Component (pneumatic and fluid handling)

Recommended Machines for Engineering Components

Bushings, pulleys, sprockets, fittings, brackets, drag chain links, knobs and snap-fit parts are small to medium components suited to the E Series (75-180 T). Larger rollers, conveyor components, impellers and valve bodies may need the H Series. Gears, bearing cages and precision mechanical parts that must hold tight tolerances suit the Hybrid machines for repeatable injection, and castor wheels with an overmoulded TPU tread are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

The answers our engineers give most often about moulding engineering plastic components.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for Plastic Gears?
Spur, helical and worm gears in POM, PA66 or PBT are small precision parts where tooth profile and pitch accuracy depend on stable shrinkage. A machine is selected by shot weight, cavities and material, and Hybrid machines suit gears that need tight, repeatable dimensions. Larger or less critical gears can run on E Series machines.
  • Can Pratishna Machines Produce Rollers, Bushings and Bearing Parts?
Yes. Conveyor and guide rollers, plain bushings, bearing cages and bearing housings in POM, PA or PBT can be produced with the right clamping force, injection unit and mould configuration. Thick hubs in rollers are cored out to avoid sinks and voids.
  • What Plastic Materials Are Used for Engineering Components?
Common materials include POM and PA66 for gears, bushings and pulleys, glass-filled PA6, PA66 and PBT for brackets, impellers and valve bodies, PTFE, MoS2 or oil-filled grades for self-lubricating parts, TPU for wheel treads, and PEEK or PPS for high-temperature parts.
  • Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Impellers, Valve Bodies and Large Rollers?
It depends on part diameter, wall thickness and projected area. Smaller impellers and valve bodies may suit the upper E Series range, while larger impellers, manifolds and conveyor rollers usually need H Series machines.
  • Can These Machines Produce Pulleys, Sprockets and Conveyor Parts?
Yes. Timing pulleys, sprockets, modular belt links, chain guides and drag chain links in POM, PA or HDPE can be moulded; the machine is selected based on part size, cavities and volume. Conveyor links are high-cavity parts where cycle time sets the cost.
  • How Do You Hold Tight Tolerances on Engineering Plastic Parts?
Agree the tolerance class at the enquiry stage, dry hygroscopic materials such as nylon, compensate the mould for directional shrinkage in glass-filled grades and run stable melt and mould temperatures. Repeatable injection and holding pressure keep every shot within tolerance.
  • Which Pratishna Series Suits Engineering Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits most small and medium parts, and the H Series covers larger rollers, impellers and valve bodies. Hybrid machines suit precision gears and bearing parts, and two-shot parts such as castor wheels are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.
  • How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Engineering Component?
Share your product, material, part weight, mould dimensions, cavities, production quantity and cycle time, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine and quotation.
