Injection Moulding Machines for Garment & Apparel Accessories
Injection moulding machines from Pratishna Engineers are widely used in manufacturing plastic trims and accessories for garment, apparel and lingerie makers. Typical parts include thermoplastic buttons, snap fasteners, zipper pullers, cord stoppers, garment hangers, lingerie rings and sliders, tag pins and belt buckles, most of which are small parts made in very high-cavity moulds where cycle time and colour matching decide the cost.
Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for garment and apparel accessories in India. The Mumbai-based company has 35+ years of experience and has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering horizontal and hybrid machines for buttons, fasteners, hangers and apparel hardware, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.
The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Apparel hardware such as snaps, sliders and cord locks relies on POM and nylon for low friction and fatigue life, so dimensions must repeat closely across every cavity. Buttons and trims must also match a fabric colour standard, which depends on accurate colour dosing and stable melt temperature.

Garment & Apparel Plastic Components
A range of button, fastener, trim and hanger components can be manufactured on Pratishna injection moulding machines:
Plastic Button
Snap Fastener / Press Stud (plastic)
Zipper Slider, Puller and Moulded Tooth Chain
Toggle, Cord Stopper and Cord End
Garment Hanger
Bra and Lingerie Hardware (rings, sliders, hooks, clips)
Collar Stay, Collar Bone and Shirt Packaging Support
Tag Pin, Seal and Label Fastener
Belt Buckle, Adjuster and Strap Hardware
Recommended Machines for Garment & Apparel Components
Zipper pullers, collar stays, tag pins and belt buckles are small parts suited to the E Series (75-180 T) in high-cavity moulds. Garment hangers have long thin flow paths and larger moulds, and may need the H Series. Buttons, snap fasteners, cord stoppers and lingerie hardware need tight, repeatable dimensions and suit the Hybrid machines. Moulded zipper tooth chain is moulded directly onto the tape and is evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
The answers our engineers give most often about moulding garment and apparel accessories.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for Plastic Buttons?
Thermoplastic buttons in ABS, nylon, acrylic or POM are small parts run in very high-cavity moulds, where buttonhole cores and shank details drive the tool design. Hybrid machines suit buttons that need close dimensional and colour consistency. Polyester resin buttons are cast and cut, and urea buttons are compression moulded, so they are not injection moulding jobs. Can Pratishna Machines Produce Snap Fasteners and Cord Stoppers?
Yes. Press studs, toggles, cord stoppers and cord ends in POM, PA6 or ABS can be produced with the right clamping force, injection unit and mould configuration. Snap engagement depends on repeatable dimensions, which the Hybrid machines are suited to.What Plastic Materials Are Used for Garment Accessories?
Common materials include POM for snaps, sliders, zipper teeth and cord locks, PA6 and PA66 for lingerie hardware, tag pins and buckles, ABS and PMMA for buttons, PP copolymer, HIPS and recycled PP for hangers, and PP or PS for collar stays.Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Garment Hangers?
It depends on hanger length, section and cavities. Hangers have a long thin flow path across the shoulder, so fill often limits the process more than clamp force. Single or two-cavity hanger moulds may suit the upper E Series range, while larger or multi-cavity moulds may need H Series machines.
Can These Machines Produce Tag Pins and Collar Stays?
Yes. Tag pins are moulded as continuous clips on a runner bar that feeds the tagging gun, and collar stays are simple high-volume parts in PP or PS. Both run on E Series machines with very high cavity counts, where cycle time sets the cost. How Do You Match Garment Trims to a Fabric Colour?
Colour matching depends on consistent masterbatch dosing, stable melt temperature and short barrel residence. Material lots and regrind ratio should also be controlled, since small shifts show up as colour variation against the fabric standard.Which Pratishna Series Suits Garment & Apparel Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits most small trims and fasteners, the H Series covers larger hanger moulds, and Hybrid machines suit buttons, snaps and lingerie hardware. Moulded zipper tooth chain is evaluated for a Special Purpose machine. How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Garment Accessory?
