Injection Moulding Machine Manufacturer — Andheri East, Mumbai, India

Injection-moulded industrial safety & ppe components

Injection Moulding Machines for Industrial Safety & PPE Products

Pratishna Engineers manufactures injection moulding machines extensively used in manufacturing plastic components for industrial safety and personal protective equipment. Typical parts include goggle frames, safety spectacle frames, face shield browguards and headgear, respirator and filter cartridge housings, hard hat harnesses, ear defender cups, composite toe caps and welding helmet shells, most of which are certified as part of a complete product under standards such as EN 166, EN 149 and ANSI Z87.1.

Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for industrial safety and PPE products in India. Headquartered in Mumbai, Pratishna has 35+ years of experience and more than 9,000 machines supplied to over 1,000 customers, offering horizontal and hybrid machines for eye, face, respiratory, head and foot protection parts, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.

The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. PPE certification is granted to the finished product, so a change of resin, colourant or mould can mean re-testing. That makes a frozen, repeatable process essential, from impact-grade PC and nylon for eyewear to glass-filled PA for toe caps, where gate position and fibre orientation decide whether the part passes the impact test.

Industrial Safety & PPE Plastic Components

A range of eye, face, respiratory, hearing, head, foot and fall-protection components can be manufactured on Pratishna injection moulding machines:

  • Safety Goggles Frame

  • Face Shield (browguard, headgear and visor)

  • Respirator Housing (half-mask facepiece, cartridge housing, valve body)

  • Safety Spectacle Frame, Temple and Side Shield

  • Hard Hat Harness, Cradle and Ratchet Components

  • Ear Defender Cup, Headband Arm and Ear Plug Components

  • Filter Cartridge Housing and Bayonet Connector

  • Exhalation / Inhalation Valve Seat and Diaphragm Carrier

  • Visor Clamp, Pivot and Ratchet Headgear Mechanism

  • Safety Footwear Toe Cap and Midsole Plate (composite)

  • Harness, Buckle and Fall-arrest Hardware Components

  • Welding Helmet Shell and ADF Cartridge Housing

Recommended Machines for Industrial Safety & PPE Components

Face shield browguards and headgear, hard hat harnesses, ear defender cups, visor clamps, composite toe caps and harness hardware suit the E Series (75-180 T). Welding helmet shells and larger ADF housings may need the H Series. Filter cartridge housings and valve seats, where sealing-face flatness decides inward leakage, suit the Hybrid machines for repeatable injection. Goggle frames, spectacle frames and respirator bodies with a soft seal bonded to a rigid frame are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

The answers our engineers give most often about moulding safety and PPE components.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for Safety Goggles and Spectacle Frames?
Goggle frames and spectacle frames are small to medium parts in PC, nylon or PP, often with a soft TPE or PVC face seal or nose pad. Single-material frames and temples run on E Series machines, while frames with a soft seal bonded in the mould are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine, or made as two parts and assembled.
  • Can Pratishna Machines Produce Face Shields and Welding Helmets?
Yes. Browguards, ratchet headgear, pivots and visor clamps run on E Series machines, and welding helmet shells may need H Series machines. Most face shield visors are die-cut from extruded PC sheet rather than moulded, so the moulded scope is usually the headgear and its fittings.
  • What Plastic Materials Are Used for Safety and PPE Parts?
Common materials include PC and TR90 nylon for eyewear, PP and ABS for browguards and ear defender cups, HDPE, PA6 and POM for helmet harnesses and ratchets, glass-filled PA6 and PA66 for toe caps and helmet shells, and TPE, TPU or soft PVC for seals, pads and temple tips.
  • Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Composite Toe Caps and Helmet Shells?
It depends on part size, wall thickness and cavities. Composite toe caps usually run on E Series machines in two or four cavity moulds, while welding helmet shells need H Series machines. Hard hat shells are larger and should be checked against the mould size first.
  • Can These Machines Produce Respirator Housings and Filter Cartridges?
Yes. Cartridge housings, bayonet connectors, valve bodies and valve seats in PP, ABS or PC can be moulded, and the Hybrid machines suit parts where seat flatness and bayonet tolerances control leakage. Silicone facepieces are liquid silicone rubber parts and use a different moulding process.
  • How Do You Mould PPE Parts That Keep Their Certification?
Freeze the resin grade, colourant, mould and process settings once the product is certified, and control regrind. Nylon parts such as toe caps and harnesses should be conditioned before testing, since their properties change with moisture. On fall-arrest equipment, only non-load-bearing parts should be moulded unless the design is certified for it.
  • Which Pratishna Series Suits Industrial Safety & PPE Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits most PPE parts, the H Series covers helmet shells, and Hybrid machines suit precision respirator parts. Two-material goggle, spectacle and respirator parts are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.
  • How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My PPE Component?
Share your product, material, part weight, mould dimensions, cavities, production quantity and cycle time, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine and quotation.
