The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Buckles and latches carry an animal’s load, so they are accepted on pull and cycle tests.

Recommended Machines for Pet Care Components
Litter scoops, collar buckles, sliders, D-rings and small-pet cage fittings are small parts suited to the E Series (75-180 T) in multi-cavity moulds. Pet bowls, feeder hoppers, water fountain housings, carrier doors and litter box hoods suit the H Series. Litter trays have large flat projected areas and suit the PHM Series two-platen machines, subject to size. Pet toys and grooming brushes with a soft TPE grip or layer bonded to a rigid core are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.

Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for Pet Bowls and Slow Feeders?
Pet bowls are medium parts in food-grade PP, HDPE or SAN, and slow-feeder bowls carry deep maze ribs that need careful venting and ejection. A machine is selected by projected area, shot weight, mould height and cavities, and these parts usually run on H Series machines.Can Pratishna Machines Produce Litter Trays and Hoods?
Yes. Litter trays in PP copolymer or HDPE have large flat footprints and suit PHM Series two-platen machines, sized at roughly 0.4 to 0.6 tons per square centimetre of projected area. Litter box hoods suit H Series machines and must be qualified with the tray so both fit after shrinkage.What Plastic Materials Are Used for Pet Care Products?
Common materials include food-grade PP, HDPE and SAN for bowls, feeders and fountains, PP copolymer and recycled PP for litter trays, POM, PA6 and PA66 for buckles and latches, PA6-GF for carrier fittings, ABS for grooming brushes and housings, and food-grade TPE, TPR or TPU for toys and grips.Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Feeders and Water Fountains?
It depends on part size, wall thickness and projected area. Feeder hoppers, lids, fountain housings and reservoirs usually run on H Series machines, while dispensing wheels, pump covers and small internal parts run on E Series machines.
Can These Machines Produce Collar Buckles and Carrier Fittings?
Yes. Side-release buckles, sliders and D-rings in POM or nylon run on E Series machines and are accepted on webbing pull and cycle tests. Carrier door frames, latches, hinge pins and vent grilles run on E or H Series machines, while the large carrier shell is usually above this range.Can Pratishna Machines Produce TPE and TPR Pet Toys?
Single-material TPE, TPR and nylon toys can be moulded on E or H Series machines with food-grade compounds. Toys and grooming brushes with a soft layer bonded to a rigid core are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine. Natural rubber toys are compression moulded and are not an injection moulding job.Which Pratishna Series Suits Pet Care Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits small accessories and hardware, the H Series covers bowls, feeders, fountains and hoods, and the PHM Series (160-350 T) covers litter trays.
