Injection-moulded pvc pipes & fittings components

Injection Moulding Machines for PVC Pipe Fittings

Pratishna Engineers manufactures injection moulding machines extensively used in manufacturing plastic pipe fittings and valves for plumbing, water supply, drainage and irrigation lines. Typical parts include elbows, tees, couplers, end caps, threaded adaptors, clamp saddles, ball valves, foot valves and traps, which must hold dimensional tolerances for leak-free solvent-weld, threaded or compression joints.

Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for PVC pipe fittings in India. Based in Mumbai, the company brings 35+ years of machine-building experience and has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering horizontal, two-platen and vertical machines for UPVC, CPVC and PP fittings and valves, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.

The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. UPVC and CPVC are heat-sensitive and release corrosive gases if overheated, so fittings need a PVC-specification screw and barrel with corrosion-resistant surfaces and close temperature control. Most fitting moulds also use core-pull or unscrewing actions for sockets and threads.

PVC Pipe Fitting & Valve Components

A range of pipe fittings, valves and plumbing components can be manufactured on Pratishna injection moulding machines:

  • Plastic Valve (ball/gate/check)

  • Pipe Fitting (elbow / tee / reducer / union)

  • Plastic Pipe Joint (coupler / solvent-weld socket)

  • Pipe End Cap

  • Clamp Saddle / Repair Saddle

  • Threaded Adaptor (male/female)

  • Compression Fitting (body/nut/ring)

  • Pipe Clip / Clamp / Bracket

  • Tank Connector / Tank Nipple

  • Flange / Flange Adaptor

  • Foot Valve / Non-Return Valve

  • P-Trap / Bottle Trap / Waste Fitting

Recommended Machines for PVC Pipe Fittings

Small and medium fittings such as end caps, pipe clips, tank nipples, adaptors and compression fittings suit the E Series (75-180 T). Larger elbows, tees, valves, flanges and traps with core-pull moulds may need the H Series, and large-diameter fittings with bigger moulds suit the PHM Series two-platen machines. Adaptors with moulded-in brass threads suit the Vertical machines for insert moulding. The right machine depends on pipe size, projected area, cavities and output.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

The answers our engineers give most often about moulding PVC pipe fittings and valves.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for UPVC and CPVC Pipe Fittings?
Fittings are selected by pipe size, shot weight, projected area, cavities and mould type. Small fittings from 15 to 50 mm usually run on E Series machines, while larger elbows, tees and drainage fittings need H Series or PHM Series machines. All PVC fittings need a PVC-specification screw and barrel.
  • Can Pratishna Machines Produce Ball Valves and Foot Valves?
Yes. Valve bodies, balls, stems and flaps in UPVC, CPVC, PP or POM can be produced with the right clamping force, injection unit and mould configuration. Each valve part is moulded separately and assembled with rubber seals.
  • What Plastic Materials Are Used for Pipe Fittings and Valves?
Common materials include UPVC and CPVC for pressure and plumbing fittings, PPR and PP for hot water and irrigation fittings, ABS for some drainage parts, POM for compression rings and valve internals, and PPH or PVDF for fittings used with corrosive media.
  • Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Large-Diameter Fittings and Flanges?
It depends on pipe size, wall thickness and the core-pull arrangement in the mould. Medium fittings and flanges may suit H Series machines, while larger drainage fittings and flanges need PHM Series two-platen machines up to 350 tons. Very large diameters should be checked against the mould size first.
  • Can These Machines Produce Threaded Adaptors with Brass Inserts?
Yes. Plain plastic adaptors run on horizontal machines, while adaptors with a moulded-in brass or copper thread suit Vertical machines, where the insert is placed in the lower mould half before each shot.
  • Why Does PVC Need a Special Screw and Barrel?
PVC degrades quickly if overheated or held too long in the barrel, and releases hydrochloric acid that attacks standard steel. A PVC screw with low compression and corrosion-resistant surfaces, a nozzle without dead spots and close heater control keep the melt stable and protect the machine.
  • Which Pratishna Series Suits PVC Pipe Fitting Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits small and medium fittings, the H Series and PHM Series two-platen machines (160-350 T) cover larger fittings, valves and flanges, and Vertical machines suit insert-moulded adaptors.
  • How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Pipe Fitting?
Share your product, material, part weight, mould dimensions, cavities, production quantity and cycle time, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine and quotation.
