Injection Moulding Machines for Sanitary & Bathroom Fittings
Pratishna Engineers builds horizontal injection moulding machines widely used for producing plastic sanitary and bathroom fittings for homes, commercial buildings and plumbing brands. Typical parts include PTMT taps, bib cocks, angle cocks, showers, health faucets, flush valve parts, bottle traps and floor drains, which must pass leak tests at threads and seats and, for visible parts, show a clean cosmetic finish.
Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for sanitary and bathroom fittings in India. With 35+ years of experience from its Mumbai facility, the company has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, with machines for PTMT, POM, ABS and PVC sanitary components, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.
The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Most sanitary fittings replace brass with PTMT, POM or plating-grade ABS. PTMT must be dried before moulding, POM must not be held hot in the barrel, and BSP inlet threads need unscrewing or collapsible cores, so machine choice includes material handling and mould actions as well as tonnage.

PVC Electrical Conduit Fittings and Junction / Switch Boxes
Pipe Clamps, Clips, Saddles and Wall Plugs
Recommended Machines for Sanitary & Bathroom Components
Most sanitary parts are small to medium components suited to the E Series (75-180 T). Angle cocks, tap spindles, handles and clips are usually run in 4 to 32 cavity moulds, where cavitation sets the tonnage. Larger parts such as SWR drainage fittings, shower face plates and floor drain gratings have large flat projected areas and may need the H Series. The right series depends on projected area, cavities, material and output.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
The answers our engineers give most often about moulding sanitary and bathroom fittings.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for PTMT Taps and Bib Cocks?
Tap bodies, bib cocks and angle cocks are small to medium parts, often moulded in multi-cavity tools with unscrewing cores for the BSP thread. A machine is selected by projected area, cavities, shot weight and material, and is usually in the E Series range. Long-body bib cocks should be sized on the longest variant in the family. Can Pratishna Machines Produce Showers and Health Faucets?
Yes. Overhead showers, hand showers and health faucet heads, triggers and handles in ABS, POM or PP can be produced with the right clamping force, injection unit and mould configuration. Shower face plates have a large flat area, so the face plate usually decides the tonnage. What Plastic Materials Are Used for Sanitary Fittings?
Common materials include PTMT (PBT) for taps and cocks, POM for spindles and sliding parts, plating-grade ABS for chrome-finish showers and faucets, PP and HDPE for traps and flush valve parts, and UPVC or CPVC for threaded and drainage fittings.Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Drainage Fittings and Floor Drains?
It depends on pipe size, wall thickness and projected area. SWR fittings from 75 to 90 mm and floor drain gratings with large flat areas usually need H Series machines, and fittings of 110 mm and above should be checked against the mould size first.
Can These Machines Produce Flush Valve and Cistern Parts?
Yes. Fill valves, float valves and flush valves are assemblies of many small mouldings in PP, POM and HDPE. The machine is selected based on the largest part, usually the valve body or siphon, along with cavities and volume. How Should PTMT and POM Be Processed for Sanitary Parts?
PTMT is a polyester and must be dried before every run, or it loses strength through hydrolysis. POM has a narrow melt window and degrades if it stays hot in the barrel, so shot size should match the barrel and stalls should be avoided. Stable settings help threads and seats pass leak tests.Which Pratishna Series Suits Sanitary & Bathroom Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits most taps, cocks, faucet parts and small fittings, while the H Series covers larger parts such as drainage fittings, shower face plates and floor drain gratings. How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Sanitary Fitting?
