Injection Moulding Machines for Stationery Products
Pratishna Engineers makes injection moulding machines extensively used for producing plastic stationery and office supplies for school, office and promotional markets. Typical parts include pen barrels and caps, marker bodies, rulers, sharpeners, geometry instruments, glue stick mechanisms, stapler and punch housings, file clips, ID card holders and badge reels, most of which are small, high-volume parts where cavity count and cycle time decide the price per piece.
Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for stationery products in India. Operating from Mumbai for 35+ years, the company has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering horizontal and hybrid machines for writing instruments, measuring instruments and office supplies, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.
The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Pen barrels, caps and clips run in 16 to 48 cavity hot runner moulds, so the machine needs a small, accurate shot and a fast, stable cycle. Clear crystal PS and PMMA parts such as rulers, set squares and barrels show every flow mark and weld line, and graduated parts depend on consistent shrinkage for scale accuracy.

Recommended Machines for Stationery Components
Pen barrels, refill holders, rulers, sharpeners, file clips, ID card holders, geometry instruments and folder fittings suit the E Series (75-180 T) in multi-cavity moulds. Pen stands, stapler bodies and punch and tape dispenser housings may need the H Series. Pen caps with flexing clips, marker parts, glue stick mechanisms and badge reel housings need tight, repeatable fits and suit the Hybrid machines. The right machine depends on cavities, shot weight, material and output.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
The answers our engineers give most often about moulding stationery products.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for Pen Barrels and Caps?
Pen barrels and caps are small parts run in 16 to 48 cavity moulds with a hot runner, so cavity count and cycle time decide the machine. Barrels in crystal PS, PP, SAN or ABS usually run on E Series machines, while caps with a flexing PP clip and vent hole suit Hybrid machines for repeatable dimensions. Can Pratishna Machines Produce Rulers and Geometry Instruments?
Yes. Rulers, set squares and protractors in crystal PS or PMMA can be produced on E Series machines. These are long, thin, graduated parts where flow length, straightness and consistent shrinkage decide scale accuracy, so gate position and mould cooling are critical. What Plastic Materials Are Used for Stationery Products?
Common materials include crystal PS, SAN and copolyester for clear barrels, PP for caps, clips and refill holders, PMMA and PS for rulers and geometry instruments, ABS for markers, sharpeners and desk tool housings, POM for glue stick screws and badge reel spools, and PA6-GF for load-bearing stapler parts.Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Staplers, Punches and Pen Stands?
It depends on part size, wall thickness and projected area. Stapler bodies, magazines, punch and tape dispenser housings and pen stands usually need the upper E Series range or H Series machines. Thick bases should be cored out to avoid sink marks.
Can These Machines Produce Pen Refill and Marker Parts?
Yes. For pen refills, the moulded parts are the holder and end plug, while the ink tube is extruded and the tip is machined metal. For markers, the barrel, cap and end plug are moulded, and the barrel resin must resist the ink solvent over the shelf life. Can Pratishna Machines Produce File Clips and ID Card Holders?
Yes. File and folder clips in PP copolymer with a living hinge, and rigid badge frames and holders in PS, ABS or PC, run on E Series machines. Living-hinge clips must be gated across the hinge and flexed right after ejection.Which Pratishna Series Suits Stationery Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits most stationery parts, the H Series covers larger desk tool housings, and Hybrid machines suit pen caps, marker parts, glue stick mechanisms and badge reels. How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Stationery Product?
