Injection Moulding Machine Manufacturer — Andheri East, Mumbai, India

Injection-moulded toys & games components

Injection Moulding Machines for Toys & Games

Pratishna Engineers builds injection moulding machines widely used for producing plastic toys, games and play equipment parts. Typical parts include figures, vehicles and playsets, building blocks, baby walkers, ride-on toy panels, toy wheels and gears, doll parts, board game pieces, educational trays, shape sorters and outdoor play fittings, which must meet IS 9873 in India and EN 71 or ASTM F963 for export, with appearance and fit deciding how the toy sells.

Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for toys and games in India. Based in Mumbai, the company brings 35+ years of machine-building experience and has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering horizontal, two-platen and hybrid machines for toys, building blocks, ride-on parts and game pieces, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.

The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Toys are moulded in ABS, PP, HDPE and TPE with toy-safe colourants, and parts a child can mouth need food-contact-grade material. Surface quality, colour matching across a set and fit between mating pieces matter more than in most moulding, and interlocking blocks and gear trains need very repeatable dimensions.

Toys & Games Plastic Components

A range of toy, game, educational and play equipment components can be manufactured on Pratishna injection moulding machines:

  • Plastic Toy (figures, vehicles, playsets and general moulded toys)

  • Building Block

  • Baby Walker

  • Ride-on and Push Toy Components (body panels, seat, steering)

  • Toy Wheel, Axle Housing and Gear

  • Doll and Action Figure Parts (limbs, joints, heads)

  • Board Game Piece, Dice and Counter

  • Toy Vehicle Body and Chassis

  • Bath, Squeeze and Teether Toy

  • Educational Toy Tray, Sorting Insert and Storage Case

  • Puzzle Frame, Peg, Stacking Ring and Shape Sorter

  • Outdoor Play Equipment Fittings (slide clips, swing brackets, connectors)

Recommended Machines for Toys & Games Components

Small and medium toys, toy vehicle bodies and chassis, puzzles, pegs and shape sorters suit the E Series (75-180 T). Larger toys and playsets, ride-on panels and seats, educational trays and cases and outdoor play fittings may need the H Series, and baby walker frames and trays suit the PHM Series two-platen machines, subject to size. Building blocks, toy gears and dice need very tight, repeatable dimensions and suit the Hybrid machines. Doll parts and bath or teether toys with soft and rigid sections bonded together are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

The answers our engineers give most often about moulding toys and games.

  • Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for Plastic Toys?
General moulded toys such as figures, vehicles and playsets in ABS, PP, HDPE or PS are selected by part size, projected area, cavities and shot weight. Small and medium toys usually run on E Series machines, while larger toys and playset parts may need H Series machines.
  • Can Pratishna Machines Produce Building Blocks?
Yes. Interlocking building blocks in ABS need stud and tube dimensions held to about plus or minus 0.01 mm so blocks clutch correctly across colours and moulds. Hybrid machines suit these parts because repeatable injection and packing keep shrinkage consistent from shot to shot.
  • What Plastic Materials Are Used for Toys and Games?
Common materials include ABS for blocks, figures and vehicle bodies, PP copolymer and HDPE for ride-on parts, walkers and educational toys, PS for game pieces and trays, POM for gears, joints and chassis parts, TPE and TPU for soft and bath toys, and UV-stabilised PP or PA6-GF for outdoor play fittings.
  • Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Baby Walkers and Ride-on Toys?
It depends on part size and projected area. Ride-on body panels, seats and steering parts usually need H Series machines, while baby walker frames and trays suit PHM Series two-platen machines. Full ride-on bodies and large trikes are often rotomoulded or blow moulded instead.
  • Can These Machines Produce Toy Wheels, Gears and Game Pieces?
Yes. Wheels, axle housings and gears in POM, PP or ABS, and dice, counters and game pieces in ABS or PS, are small high-cavity parts. Gears and dice suit Hybrid machines, since gear mesh, bore clearance and dice symmetry all depend on consistent shrinkage.
  • How Do You Mould Toys That Meet Safety Standards?
Use toy-safe resins and colourants with test data for IS 9873, EN 71 or ASTM F963, and food-contact grades for parts a child can mouth. Design out sharp edges and small detachable parts, control regrind and colour lots, and test finished toys for heavy metals, small parts and drop performance.
  • Which Pratishna Series Suits Toys & Games Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits most toys and puzzles, the H Series covers larger toys and ride-on parts, and the PHM Series (160-350 T) covers baby walkers. Hybrid machines suit building blocks, gears and dice, and two-material toys are evaluated for a Special Purpose machine.
  • How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Toy or Game Product?
Share your product, material, part weight, mould dimensions, cavities, production quantity and cycle time, and Pratishna Engineers will recommend a suitable machine and quotation.
