Injection Moulding Machines for Water Treatment Components
Pratishna Engineers designs and manufactures injection moulding machines that are used to produce plastic components for domestic water purifiers, filtration systems, softeners and dosing equipment. Typical parts include RO membrane housings and end caps, 10 and 20 inch filter bowls, purifier panels and UV chambers, push-fit connectors, cartridge end caps, softener control valve parts, faucets, vacuum breakers and dosing pump heads, which carry line pressure continuously and are in permanent contact with drinking water.
Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for water treatment components in India. With 35+ years of experience from its Mumbai facility, the company has supplied 9,000+ machines to 1,000+ customers, offering horizontal and hybrid machines for purifier housings, filtration parts, fittings and softener components, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.
The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Wetted parts need potable-compliant grades of PP, PP-GF, ABS, SAN, POM and PPO/PPE, with IS 16240 for RO purifiers in India and NSF/ANSI 61 for export. Housings and bowls are burst and cycle tested at several times working pressure, so uniform wall thickness, sound weld lines and strong threads matter more than tonnage.

Water Treatment Plastic Components
A range of purifier, filtration, fitting, softener and dosing components can be manufactured on Pratishna injection moulding machines:
RO Housing (domestic membrane housing and end caps)
Water Purifier Part (UV chamber, pump bracket, panel, cartridge caps)
Filter Housing (10 inch / 20 inch bowl, cap and bracket)
Fluid Connector (push-fit quick connect, elbow, tee, 1/4–3/8 inch)
Rotameter (panel flow meter body and scale block)
Saddle Strap (feed water adaptor / pipe saddle clamp)
Distributor Hub / Lateral Hub (underdrain hub and lateral assembly)
Vacuum Breaker (anti-siphon and air-relief valve)
Cartridge End Cap and Media Retainer
Pressure Vessel End Cap, Riser Adaptor and Basket
Purifier Faucet / Dispensing Tap and Lever
Storage Tank Fittings and Bladder Tank Ports
Softener Control Valve Body and Internal Components
Dosing Pump Head, Injection Quill and Foot Valve
Recommended Machines for Water Treatment Components
Purifier panels, brackets and caps, saddle straps, distributor and lateral hubs, faucets and storage tank fittings are small to medium parts suited to the E Series (75-180 T). RO membrane housings, 10 and 20 inch filter bowls and pressure vessel end caps are thick-wall pressure parts and may need the H Series. Push-fit connectors, rotameter bodies, vacuum breakers, cartridge end caps, softener control valve parts and dosing pump heads need tight, repeatable dimensions for sealing and suit the Hybrid machines.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
The answers our engineers give most often about moulding water treatment components.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for RO Membrane Housings?
Domestic RO membrane housings and end caps in PP, PP-GF or PA6-GF are thick-wall pressure parts that are burst and cycle tested. A machine is selected by housing size, shot weight and mould type, and they usually run on H Series machines. Industrial RO pressure vessels are filament-wound FRP, PVC or stainless steel and are not injection moulded. Can Pratishna Machines Produce 10 and 20 Inch Filter Housings?
Yes. Filter bowls, caps and brackets in PP, PP-GF, SAN or PC can be produced on H Series machines. Clear SAN and PC bowls can craze if exposed to incompatible chemicals or moulded-in stress, so gate position, packing and annealing where needed are part of the process. What Plastic Materials Are Used for Water Treatment Parts?
Common materials include PP and PP-GF for housings, end caps and fittings, food-grade PP for cartridge caps, ABS and SAN for purifier panels, faucets and clear parts, POM and PA66 for connectors and valve internals, PPO/PPE for softener valves and pressure vessel parts, and PVDF or PVC for dosing pump heads.Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Purifier Panels and Pressure Vessel End Caps?
It depends on part size, wall thickness and projected area. Purifier panels and covers usually run on the upper E Series range, while pressure vessel end caps, riser adaptors and baskets for FRP tanks may need H Series machines.
Can These Machines Produce Push-Fit Connectors and Softener Valves?
Yes. Push-fit connectors, elbows and tees in POM, PP or PA66 and softener control valve bodies and internals in PPO/PPE, POM or PA66-GF suit Hybrid machines. Uniform walls and smooth bores decide the pressure rating of connectors, and piston and seal dimensions decide softener valve life. How Do You Mould Water Treatment Parts That Pass Pressure Tests?
Use potable-approved resin grades, keep wall thickness uniform, place weld lines away from stressed areas and dry materials such as PA66 and PPO/PPE before moulding. Burst and cycle tests should be run on production parts, and resin and colourant should stay fixed once approved.Which Pratishna Series Suits Water Treatment Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits purifier parts and small fittings, the H Series covers RO housings, filter bowls and pressure vessel parts, and Hybrid machines suit connectors, valves, end caps and dosing parts. How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Water Treatment Component?
