Injection Moulding Machines for White Goods & Appliance Parts
Injection moulding machines from Pratishna Engineers are widely used in manufacturing plastic parts for washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, air coolers, fans and small kitchen appliances. Typical parts include AC louvres and grilles, fan blades, mixer grinder bodies, kettle and iron housings, fan regulators, knobs and bezels, refrigerator shelves and trays, washing machine pulsators and filters, door handles and blower scrolls, which combine a cosmetic surface with years of heat, vibration and moisture in service.
Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted injection moulding machine manufacturers for white goods and appliance parts in India. Headquartered in Mumbai, Pratishna has 35+ years of experience and more than 9,000 machines supplied to over 1,000 customers, offering horizontal, two-platen and hybrid machines for appliance housings, air-handling parts, interior fittings and trims, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.
The right machine depends on the component, plastic material, part weight, mould size, number of cavities and production volume. Appliance parts use ABS, PC/ABS, HIPS, PP-talc and glass-filled PP or nylon, chosen by heat, detergent and food contact, and mains appliances must meet glow-wire and flammability requirements. Large grilles and panels are footprint-driven with weld lines around every opening, while fan blades and louvres are judged on balance and straightness, so stable, repeatable moulding is essential.

Refrigerator Liner (inner cabinet and door liner)
AC Louvre (moving vane and swing blade)
AC Grille (front panel, discharge and return grille)
Fan Blade (axial impeller and appliance fan blade)
Mixer Grinder Body (motor housing and base)
Air Cooler Body (cabinet and water tank)
Fan Regulator
Small Appliance Housing (kettle, iron, toaster, blender shells)
Appliance Knob, Button, Bezel and Trim
Refrigerator Shelf, Drawer, Egg Tray and Ice Tray
Washing Machine Pulsator, Filter and Lint Trap Frame
Door Handle, Hinge Cover and Exterior Trim
Water Dispenser, Ice Maker and Drip Tray Components
Appliance Fan Housing, Duct and Blower Scroll
Recommended Machines for White Goods & Appliance Components
Door handles, hinge covers, exterior trims, washing machine pulsators and filters, water dispenser parts and smaller fan blades suit the E Series (75-180 T). AC louvres, small appliance housings, refrigerator shelves, drawers and trays, blower scrolls and larger fan blades may need the H Series. AC grilles, mixer grinder bodies and smaller washing machine panels have large footprints and suit the PHM Series two-platen machines, subject to size. Fan regulators and appliance knobs, buttons and bezels need precise, repeatable fits and suit the Hybrid machines.

FAQs / Buyer Questions
The answers our engineers give most often about moulding white goods and appliance components.
Which Injection Moulding Machine Is Used for AC Louvres and Grilles?
AC louvres and swing blades are long, thin parts where straightness is functional, and they usually run on H Series machines with multi-point gating. AC front panels and grilles are large, perforated parts where footprint sets the tonnage, and they suit PHM Series two-platen machines, with larger panels checked against the mould size first. Can Pratishna Machines Produce Fan Blades and Blower Scrolls?
Yes. Axial impellers and appliance fan blades in PP-GF, PA6-GF or ABS run on E or H Series machines depending on diameter, and are accepted on balance. Blower scrolls and ducts in PP-talc or ABS run on H Series machines, with ribbing and gating chosen to hold roundness at the impeller clearance. What Plastic Materials Are Used for Appliance Parts?
Common materials include ABS, PC/ABS and HIPS for housings, panels and trims, PP-talc and PP-GF for tubs, scrolls and pulsators, PA6-GF, PA66-GF and PBT for parts near motors and heaters, SAN and PS for clear refrigerator drawers and shelves, POM for drives and knobs, and food-grade PP for trays and dispenser parts.Which Tonnage Is Suitable for Mixer Grinder Bodies and Appliance Housings?
It depends on housing size, wall thickness and projected area. Kettle, iron, toaster and blender shells usually run on H Series machines, while mixer grinder bodies and bases suit PHM Series two-platen machines. Housings near heating elements need high heat-deflection grades such as PA, PBT or PPS.
Can These Machines Produce Washing Machine Tubs and Refrigerator Liners?
Washing machine outer tubs, full-size panels and air cooler bodies typically need 600 to 1,200 tons and should be checked against the mould size first. Most refrigerator inner and door liners are vacuum formed from extruded HIPS or ABS sheet rather than injection moulded. Pulsators, filters, shelves, trays and trims for these appliances fit the Pratishna range. How Do You Mould Appliance Parts for Heat, Safety and Appearance?
Select grades rated for the part’s operating temperature and glow-wire class, and use food-contact grades where parts touch water or food. Keep weld lines out of stressed areas, dry ABS, PC/ABS and nylon before moulding, and hold colour and gloss consistent across moulds so panels and trims match.Which Pratishna Series Suits White Goods & Appliance Applications?
The E Series (75-180 T) suits small trims and fittings, the H Series covers louvres, housings, shelves and scrolls, the PHM Series (160-350 T) covers grilles and mixer grinder bodies, and Hybrid machines suit regulators, knobs and bezels. How Do I Get a Machine Recommendation for My Appliance Component?
