120 Ton Hybrid Injection Moulding Machine (PH Series)

The PH 120 Ton is a hybrid injection moulding machine from Pratishna Engineers, built for precision engineering parts, thin-walled components and multi-cavity moulds where shot-to-shot repeatability matters. A servo motor drives the injection through a ball screw, while a hydraulic clamp provides 120 tons of locking force. It offers two screw options of 35 and 32 mm, with shot weights of 151 and 126 g (PS) and injection pressure up to 201 MPa.

Pratishna Engineers is one of the top and trusted 120 ton hybrid injection moulding machine manufacturers in India. Headquartered in Mumbai, Pratishna has 35+ years of experience and more than 9,000 machines supplied to over 1,000 customers, and its hybrid machines with hydraulic locking and electric injection were among the first of their kind developed in India, backed by in-house engineering and after-sales support.

FAQs / Buyer Questions

The answers our engineers give most often about the PH 120 Ton, before a specification is agreed.

  • What Is the PH 120 Ton Hybrid Injection Moulding Machine?
It is a hybrid injection moulding machine from Pratishna Engineers with servo-electric ball screw injection and hydraulic clamping, built for precision engineering parts, thin-walled components and multi-cavity moulds where shot-to-shot repeatability matters.
  • What Can I Manufacture on a 120 Ton Hybrid Machine?
Typical parts include plastic gears and precision mechanical parts, electrical connectors and switch parts, closures and dispensing parts, medical and diagnostic consumables and thin-walled components.
  • When Should I Choose the PH 120 Ton Over a Standard 120 Ton Machine?
Choose the hybrid when tolerance, part weight consistency or thin-wall filling is the main challenge. For general parts where these matter less, a standard E, C or H Series machine is usually better value.
  • What Are the Screw Options on the PH 120 Ton?
The 120 Ton is available with two screws: the 35 mm screw gives a 151 g shot at up to 168 MPa and 109 cc/sec; the 32 mm screw gives a 126 g shot at up to 201 MPa and 91 cc/sec. The smaller screw gives the higher pressure.
  • What Mould Size Fits the PH 120 Ton?
It takes moulds 165 to 450 mm thick within a tie-bar space of 410 × 345 mm, on platens of 640 × 570 mm, with a 750 mm daylight opening and 85 mm ejector stroke.
  • How Much Power Does the PH 120 Ton Use?
It has a 12.5 kW servo motor, 8.0 kW heating capacity and 20.5 kW total connected load. Electric injection draws power mainly when the screw moves, so consumption is lower than on a fully hydraulic machine.
  • If 120 Ton Is Not the Right Size, What Other Options Are There?
The PH Series also offers the 140 Ton hybrid. For general parts, the E Series covers 75 to 180 tons, and larger parts suit the C, H or PHM Series.
  • Does Pratishna Provide Installation and After-Sales Support?
Yes. Installation, commissioning, operator training, spare parts and after-sales technical support are provided as part of Pratishna’s machine lifecycle services.
  • How Do I Get a Price for the PH 120 Ton?
Share your product drawing, material, part weight, tolerance, mould dimensions, cavities, production quantity and cycle time, and Pratishna Engineers will evaluate the configuration and provide a quotation.
